
Development of a Digital Platform to Enhance Agri-Food Monitoring
BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVE
Agri-food sector plays a crucial role in the country’s economic stability and food security. However, challenges such as supply chain inefficiencies, data gaps, and limited institutional capacity hinder effective decision-making. To address these issues, the Agri-Food Digital Platform project was initiated to develop a comprehensive digital dashboard and farmers’ registry.
The primary objective of the project was to create a digital monitoring system that would track key agri-food data, including food availability, pricing trends, and supply chain dynamics. By leveraging data-driven insights, the project aimed to support informed policy decisions, enhance food security, and promote economic growth. Furthermore, the initiative sought to strengthen institutional frameworks and improve agricultural data collection mechanisms through global best practices.
PROJECT APPROACH
